Diet Can Affect Vulva and Vaginal Health
As they say… “You are what you eat,” and despite what most people think diet has a lot to do with vaginal health. If you are eating a healthy diet, your body will respond accordingly – but if you eat or drink things that can affect your body’s pH level and cause it to become unbalanced, then these changes in your diet can contribute to factors that help to trigger bacterial vaginosis.
Eating too many acidic foods and drinks in your diet every day can increase the likelihood of this effect, and you may experience BV as a recurring condition that continues to come back every few weeks if this is the case.
Assess your diet first and make an effort to cut out any acidic foods and drinks to see if this makes any difference – and if you are not sure how to do this, search online and identify a few diet plans available on the internet, or make an appointment to see a nutritionist.
